Project Leadership and Technical Delivery: I served as the main project architect for four years, during which I produced the complete set of construction drawings and developed the entire BIM model. I led the BIM coordination between the construction team and consultants for this fast-track project, which was delivered successfully with no major issues. Additionally, I led the construction management process, including managing 800 submittals and 300 RFIs using Navisworks, ensuring seamless coordination between the 21-story office building and 34-story hotel & residential tower.
Mixed-Use Integration: This project brings together office, residential, hotel, and retail functions to create a constant flow of activity. By mixing these uses, the design ensures the site is occupied at different times of the day, turning a peripheral area into a lively destination where people live, work, and visit.
Site Planning & Urban Integration: I was involved in the site planning and massing studies, analyzing how the two towers interact with the surrounding urban context. Through wind-tunnel testing, sunlight analysis, temperature prediction, and rain testing, we optimized the building placement to ensure the 1.5-acre central park is a comfortable and climate-friendly space for the community.
BIM-Led Interior Coordination: I led the comprehensive BIM coordination for the high-end interior finishes, ensuring a perfect execution within a fast-track schedule. This role involved managing the complex integration of electrical systems, fire protection, and interior design across multiple specialty contractors to maintain a high-quality final product.
Curtain Wall & Facade Engineering: The curtain wall glass was meticulously selected to harmonize with the surrounding urban context. Variations in mullion sizing were strategically designed to provide optimal shading effect for the exterior, while the integration of perforations within the mullions achieved a balance between material cost and acoustic performance, verified through rigorous sound testing.
Construction Administration: Managing the construction documentation phase, I completed the production of detailed architectural drawings and coordinated with consultants across multiple disciplines. The fast-track project's complexity and using of pre-tensioned slabs required meticulous attention to detail in documenting the integration of hotel, residential, office, and retail programs.
Structural Glass Fountain Design: The fountain, a precise assembly of glass and steel, was designed as a careful mechanical system inspired by the structural principles of the Apple Store glass facades. This assembly required detailed technical coordination to ensure that the glass and steel components worked together seamlessly as a unified structural and aesthetic element.
